The Regal Minneapolis:
When Hotels Attack

A brisk January morning was the setting for one of the greatest feats of logistics since the Invasion of Normandy: The Load-In at the Regal

Here our intrepid volunteers, dockless struggle to unload the truck curbside, with only a few carts and their wits to help them. Shortly after this picture was taken, our brave cameraman was struck down by a maniacal, pallet wielding Dave Gerkin.

As the load-in nears completion; disaster strikes as the new director of the Regal, Amy Drahota, becomes stuck in the immense pile of cardboard and begins to sink to her doom. Powerless to save her, the rest of the crew can only listen to her final agonizing pleas for mercy. Area Director Paul Anders would later describe the event as: "...the most pathetic waste of human life since the Sheraton Four Points." Shocked by their sudden loss, the crew can only struggle on grimly toward completion.

Villiany most foul befalls the crew next as the maniacal Dave Gerkin claims his second victim! Here Gerkin chuckles evily as Nick is turned into a chunky paste by the trash compactor. Nick is survived by his wife and 822 live-in relatives. The maniacal Dave Gerkin remains at large.

As we left the Regal that day, we thought of the people we left behind there, and hoped that they were in a better place. In this artists conception commissioned after the horrible tragedy, we see Amy and Nick with Elvis (center) knocking back cold ones on the company's dime. Rest easy friends, rest easy.
